Privacy Policy — M4th3m4t1c4
Last updated: 13 July 2026
M4th3m4t1c4 ("the App") is a math practice app for children, available on Android and iOS. We respect your privacy and the privacy of your child. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
The App is operated by an individual developer ("we", "us"). If you have any questions, please contact us at the address listed at the end of this policy.
1. Summary
- The App does not require you to create an account and does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information.
- The App is free to download. It offers an optional one-time lifetime unlock ("M4th3m4t1c4 Pro") — a single purchase you pay for once and own forever. There are no recurring subscriptions and no subscription auto-renewals.
- Game progress, difficulty choices, and language preference are stored only on your device.
- We collect a small amount of anonymous usage data and crash reports through a few third-party services listed below, to help us fix bugs and improve the App. We never sell your data.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Game progress and settings (on-device only)
The App stores the following locally on your device and never sends it to our servers:
- Your selected language
- Your difficulty preferences
- Your curriculum progress (which level you are on, your best star score per level)
- Entitlement status cached by RevenueCat on your device (whether the Pro lifetime unlock is active)
This data stays on your device. Uninstalling the App deletes it. You can clear it from the device's app settings.
2.2 Anonymous usage analytics (Amplitude)
We use Amplitude to understand how the App is used so we can improve it. Amplitude may collect:
- A randomly generated anonymous user ID
- Your device type, operating system version, app version, country (derived from IP), and locale
- App events such as
app_opened,level_started,level_completed,paywall_viewed,purchase_started,purchase_completed,purchase_failed, andpurchase_restored - Persistent user properties such as
is_proandlevel
These properties reflect gameplay state only. They do not contain any personal information. Amplitude's privacy practices: https://amplitude.com/privacy
2.3 Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic data when the App malfunctions. Crashlytics may collect the anonymous install ID, device/OS/app version, stack traces, breadcrumbs, and custom keys such as the current level index. No personal information is attached. Google / Firebase privacy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
2.4 Purchases (RevenueCat)
The Pro unlock is purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. The App uses RevenueCat to validate the receipt. We do not collect your name, email, or billing address. RevenueCat privacy: https://revenuecat.com/privacy
Because the purchase is a one-time lifetime unlock, there is no recurring billing, auto-renewal, or free trial.
3. Children
The App is designed for use by children with a parent or other adult. We do not knowingly collect a child's name, email, phone number, home address, photographs, audio recordings, or precise/coarse geolocation. Anonymous usage analytics, crash reports, and purchase receipts are not linked to a child's identity. No advertising or ad-network tracking is used.
If you believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can delete it.
4. How we use the data
We use the data only to operate the App, diagnose crashes, understand usage to prioritize improvements, and verify purchases / maintain Pro entitlement. We do not use the data for automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell or rent any of this data.
5. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)
- Performance of a contract — to deliver the App and the Pro entitlement you purchased.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the App (analytics and crash reporting), with anonymous and minimal data.
6. Your choices and rights
You can at any time uninstall the App (stops analytics/crash collection), clear local data, request access/deletion/copy of any data we hold by contacting us, or restore purchases via the App's Settings. There is currently no in-app analytics toggle — a known limitation we plan to address.
7. Data retention
Amplitude and Crashlytics retain anonymous data per their policies. RevenueCat retains purchase records as long as the entitlement may need to be restored. All on-device data is deleted when you uninstall or clear storage.
8. International transfers
Some providers (Amplitude, Crashlytics, RevenueCat) may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States, using appropriate safeguards.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be made visible in the App before they take effect.
